Project Description

Country: USA

Location: South Central Alaska

Total Budget: $4,000

Area of Focus: Community economic development

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Indestructible soccer balls to be distributed to all Elementary & Jr. High schools in Anchorage (& possibly the Valley)

I stumbled across these indestructible soccer balls and thought of all those "red" playground balls that barely make it through the school year. I actually bought one and they are durable.

The project would allow us to purchase 200 balls to give to schools in Anchorage and the Valley. It would provide interactions among the clubs, as well as providing recognition for the Rotary name in every school.

The difficult logistics would be in delivery; which, I believe could be accomplished by delivering balls to at least 2 schools a week until completion in about a half a year.

The schools could be provided with information about the balls and the global effort of the company - to learn about other geographic areas of the world.
