Project Description Country: Afghanistan Location: Jalalabad Total Budget: $8,000 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Activity Type: Water: Sanitation Summary: Del Mar Nangarhar University's Faculty of Education does not have adequate toilet facilities for 322 female students. The Chancellor and Dean have asked if the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club could provide the same. The Club's representative in Jalalabad, who is also the President of the Jalalabad Rotary Club, has received a proposal to build the toilet facility for $7,805.96. We ask for $8,000 to have a small contingency.Based on our club's past experience in building structures in Jalalabad, we believe this is reasonable. Attached are construction plans, letter from contactor, letter from Dean, and letter explaining need for facilities.
