Rape, sexual assault, domestic abuse, and dating violence can affect anyone - regardless of gender, age, race, sexual orientation, or economic status. The Valentine Rotary Club proposes to provide necessary supplies to the local Rape/Domestic Abuse Program (RDAP) to fulfill some of the needs as they provide assistance and counseling to victims. These supplies include: hygiene products, toiletries, towels and wash cloths, dental hygiene products, bottled water, blankets, comfort toys for children and other items. Rotarians will work with the local coordinator to determine which supplies are needed throughout the course of several months, purchase the items and deliver them to the local RDAP office. We propose to do this over several months because the organization has limited storage capacity and the types of supplies needed may change over time and this will allow us to be more responsive to their needs.
