Summary: Registration fees for 29 underprivileged 3rd and 4th graders to One Stone STEM summer camp


One Stone is a student-led, independent and tuition-free high school that will be hosting the STEM summer camp. One Stone members will serve as teen mentors to the young campers-so multiple audiences will be served (One Stone members who gain experience as mentors, and the 3rd and 4th graders who will have a fun learning experience in STEM). Rotarians will volunteer at the camp itself. The Rotary Club of Boise Downtown will partner with the Rotary Club of Boise East. Cost will be $99/student.

Kevin Allen and Ryan Erstad met with representatives of the One Stone School, who informed them that the student team in charge of planning Tinker Camp will begin meeting in March. No funds have been spent yet.

Tinker Camp is still in planning phase with no expenditure to date. One Stone is continuously making adjustments as new COVID-19 information is available. Camp is still going to happen this summer.

Rotary is meeting with One Stone on June 18th to solidify scheduling and Rotary participation with the camp.
