Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
Our project is complete and has been largely a success. We did go slightly past our budget and there will be some continuing experiences, such as mulch and preen/weed killers. But it's been beneficial for our club in that we've had to come together to keep the project going. For us, this project won't ever be done. First, there will always be ongoing maintenance. Second, we have additional plans to further transform this into a Veterans Memorial of sorts. None of this would have been possible without the grant opportunity the district afforded us. For that we are very thankful.

Our project was completed in early May with additional planting of plants and flowers at the front entry to the park. We also added the mulch around plants and added gravel to walking areas and areas where no vegetation is supposed to grow. We went slightly past our total budget, so we added money from our club's general account to compensate. I will add a couple more pictures of our work and the final project. This project is then complete. All of our receipts should be uploaded.

We do have some mulching to do in the raised bed at the back of the park, but all of our expenses are complete and accounted for. The biggest benefit of this project for us has been the necessity for us all to come together and work on this. The work continues in terms of weeding and watering, but it has been a great collaborative project for us and I know firsthand that the community appreciates it.
