Project Description Country: USA Location: Grand Island Sunrise Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: We present a new dictionary to every third grade student in Hall County, Nebraska. Many elementary students do not have their own dictionaries. Our school partners have told us that dictionary skills are introduced to students in the third grader. We purchase and supply a brand new, full color dictionary to all third grade students in Hall County. Rotarians personally deliver each dictionary to the classrooms and make a full presentation to the students, stressing the Four Way Test and the meaning of being a Rotarian.
