Marys' Kitchen is a Provide hot meal for 80 - 100 homeless about 7 times a year. This will include preparation of hot lunch meal and sack meal, both materials and labor will be provided by Rotarians, Chapman Roteract and other community members. The hot meal will consist of protein, carbs, veggies and dessert. The sack lunch will consist of ham & cheese sandwich, chips, fruit cup and water.
The total cost of Mary's Kitchen will be approximately $5000 (it costs about about $700 each time)
The butterfly garden will be completely redone. 3rd graders on tours will benefit by a greater variety of butterflies and homeowners who come to learn about the use of natives in their yards love plants that attract butterflies. The whole community will benefit from this project. A graphic art sign featuring butterflies, their caterpillar and chrysalis will be featured on a 2`x 3` professionally built sign. It will be installed by Rotarians as well.
A Landscape architect will be hired to submit a plan. Plants will be bought at Tree of Life and plant signs will be ordered from Unique Awards. Mulch will be donated by Kellogg.
Rotarians, Interact and Rotaract will be do the planting, etc. Drinks and refreshments will be provided. The budget for the Nature Center is $3500.
