Project Description Country: USA Location: Matteson IL Total Budget: $1,340 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: Send students to the RYLA leadership conference in Lake Geneva Wisconsin The Matteson Rotary sends local youth to the RYLA leadership conference to help them gain important leadership and life skills. Sending the students provides positive benefits and helps them become better adults. Students are referred by school counselors but final selection is done by club members. Students are selected in the fall and the conference is in October. Club funds plus district funds will be used to pay the registration fee for the students to attend. Club members help select students plus meet students at the bus before they leave and when they return from the trip.
