Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy is a community-based non-profit organization. This project is focused on continued efforts to the restoration and preservation of coastal wetland habitants located in the southeast area of Huntington Beach. The Conservancy currently owns and manages three marshes with the support local partners that assist in th education efforts and outreach, upkeep and native plant nursery along with the monitoring of endangered species that have made the wetlands home. Additional project detail is an expansion on previous efforts which out-planted several Huntington Beach locations such as the Magnolia, Brookhurst and Talbert marshes. The purpose of this out-planting was to introduce more upper plant species to the Magnolia and Brookhurst marsh's.
Our club is submitting this Grant Application to cover some of the purchases of the proposed 1000 container plants and seeds of a least nine(9) species of native plants.
Project start date is July 1st, 2019 and project completion is May 31st, 2020
