Summary: 20 doors to be provided to the Class Rooms and toilets of an all Girls school in Ludhiana


The grant funds will be used to buy doors for the class rooms and the Toilets of an all girls Govt.School.The Club has adopted that school.It has around 1800 students coming from the Poor Community and Classrooms dont have doors which expose students to the Vagaries of the nature which lead to the illness.In summer the temperature of Ludhiana raises upto 48Degree C while in the winter it falls to 1 degree Centre.This exposes the young girls and they fell ill and leads to absentism from the school.

Until 12/27, we were waiting on banking information from the Ludhiana Central RC so we could transfer the $1,800 from the Irvine Rotary Foundation account to the Ludhiana RC. The wire transfer form was completed on 1/2/2014. Wire transfer pending.

With the generous contribution of the Rotary Club of Irvine,all the doors have been installed under the supervision of Rotary Club Ludhiana Central.All the doors clearly reflect the contribution of the Rotary Club of Irvine under the District Grants Program.The doors were installed a long ago but the project couldnot be publicaly dedicated due to the busy schedule od District Governor.It will be done soon at the official visit of the DG
