Summary: Year-round assistance for families in need in the Balsz District Community.
There are certain times of the year where families in need receive extra help and donations - the holidays for example. The goal of this project is to give families in the Balsz School District community "care packages" to help them during months where donations aren't as available. That way, they get assistance year round instead of only a couple of months. The funds for this project would go towards these "care packages" which would consist of food, toiletries, and clothing, and would be for the whole family. We also plan on expanding the amount of supplies we could give by searching for and receiving donations. With a close relationship with the Balsz School District, we would be able to identify the families who would benefit the most from the care packages. This project will take place during the 2019-2020 school year. Rotarians will be purchasing and putting together the care packages, coordinating with the school district to identify the families who would benefit the most, deliver the care packages, and look for additional donations. Its a project where all Phoenix East Rotarians would be able to participate.
