Project Description Country: USA Location: Bedford Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Kids books for Open Door Clinic and Northern Westchester Hospital The pediatric areas in both the Open Door Clinic and Northern Westchester Hospital supply books to their patients, both when in care and as gifts. The books to NWHC will bee supplied as soon as we get the grant. The books for Open Door will be designated for late fall - to be used a Christmas Presents. The funds will be disbursed after the the books have been delivered to the recipients. All club members will be putting Book Plates in all the books. Aside from being kept in their giving libraries (patients are encouraged to take the books home), pediatric doctor's give a book to each patient they see. Both facilities are looking forward to our continued book donation activities. 16-May-20 by Abbott Fluer The books have been received and distributed to both facilities and the vendor has been paid. 3-Aug-20 by David Schribman Project should be dropped because club wasn’t Grant Certified for the 2019-2020 year. 16-Oct-20 by Abbott Fluer The project is still active. We're waiting for our district to notify us if it's a go.
