Summary: The goal is to build 500 clean cookstoves in Rural villages of Uganda, improving the health of families and emproving the enviroment .
The Cookstove Project has been building Clean Cookstove in Rural areas of Uganda for almost 6 years now, with over 12,000 stoves built so far. Nearly half the world still cook over and open fire inside their home, causing numerous health issues and death every year due to inhaling toxic smoke and fumes. There is also a an huge environmental concern due to cooking this way. The stoves we build use 2/3 less wood and burn efficiently. We would use these funds to continue to build more stoves, working with our project manager in Uganda who is also an Rotarian.
