Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington, TX Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Volunteer Services Summary: This grant would pay for one children’s program ($500) for Webb Elementary to participate in ARK programming. The ARK for Kids program "provides instruction that reinforces a child's awareness that they are special, valued and loved, and empowers children to feel capable of mastering their environment and helps them establish social skills for making friends and connecting with other." The core objective of ARK programming - that kids who feel loved do better -- coincides with Rotary's emphasis on promoting integrity and goodwill, and saving women and children. Furthermore, it assists with advancing our Rotary mission to advance peace and to facilitate conflict prevention and resolution.
