Summary: New Winter Coats and Boots to elementary school kids

This is a project started at LC Real Estate Group, in which I am a partner. We started this project 4 years ago by outfitting one school (50 kids) with new winter coats and boots. We teamed up with Jax and Scheels (sporting goods stores) to provide the gear at cost and partnered with community members and businesses to fund more kids. We've grown the project to 250 kids this last year and want to grow to all Thompson Valley Schools. We just got approved for a $3,000 Rotary Foundation grant and would like to be considered for District matching grant. We would like to raise $21,000 (7 Schools) and we just hit $15,000 with the Loveland Rotary Foundation grant. With the district grant we will have $17,000 and will go ahead with this amount even if we do not raise more. We order the gear in the spring Jan-Feb and Distribute in October. Next year we plan have rotarians from the Satellite club and big club to help with community outreach, fundraising, and distribution. We are at a point where we will need more hands on deck to get this to all of TVSD schools.
