We have no international grant to support and are aware of the Club's allocation of $3492. We request the maximum of $5000 but are appreciative of any amount that may be awarded. The Rotary Club of Fort Worth has chosen to support two local organizations. 1. The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, 2. The WARM Place.
The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation's mission is to eradicate suicide by funding depression research, creating awareness through education, erasing stigma and providing hope to those who struggle. The WARM Place is a local grief support center and a nonprofit agency that provides bi-weekly peer-support groups for children and their families after the death of a loved one. Founded in 1989 The WARM Place has accompanied over 30,000 children and their families along their grief journey. Our program, led by trained volunteers, provides a safe environment for children to express feeling and emotions as well as the opportunity to meet with children and families who are experiencing situations similar to their own. Our mission is to provide year round grief support services to children ages 3 ½ to 18 and their families, as well as young adults ages 19-25, who have experienced the death of a loved one.
