Summary: Sponsorship of students at the Malaika Orphanage Children's Foundation in Uganda


Metroport Rotary (Southlake) sponsors 3 children at the Malaika Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda. 2 students are in elementary school @ $400 per year and 1 student currently in high school @ $1,200 per year.

Contributions are made to the Malaika Orphanage Children's Foundation which is a non-profit founded and run by Arlington Sunset Rotarian Betty Bengo and her husband.

Funds are used to provide the students with housing, books, clothing, food and supplies. This project supports the mission of Rotary by providing education and literacy to the Uganda children, while also supporting good health and hygiene, with the ultimate goal of supporting the economic development of Uganda.
