Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington, TX Total Budget: $2,660 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: Peace: Volunteer Services Summary: This grant would be used to aid in reporting and recognizing acts of kindness in the City of Arlington. Purpose of Grant: This grant would be used to continue in sharing information to create avenues that will share with the Arlington population and the thousands of visitors to Arlington in spreading and reporting acts of kindness and recognize acts of kindness through the Community Relations Commission in the City of Arlington. Impact of Grant: Through collaboration with the community and encouragement to the thousands of visitors to Arlington, the Kindness Initiative will create an awareness of the need for everyone to be kind. We work expressly to advance the Vision of Arlington's Kindness Initiative by engaging Businesses, City Services, Social Services, Schools and Nonprofits to inject kindness into the culture of our Dream City. Our objectives are to Promote Kindness into Arlington Culture, Establish Environments of Kindness - Create Kindness Zones by way of Signage & Practice and Encourage, Stimulate & Recognize Acts of Kindness in our City. The Rotary Club of Arlington will maintain its status as an Ambassador of Kindness.
