Students at Learn for Life schools, a continuation high school, are employed at minimum wage jobs that have been negatively affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. These students are trying to finish high school, often while raising small children, and sometimes while homeless. They are the most vulnerable students. These students depend on their teachers and counselors to help them with daily needs such as food, toiletries, and other immediate needs. Because they are not able to attend school, their needs have become even more urgent. Teachers and counselors are reaching out and finding who most needs immediate access to food, diapers, and sanitary supplies. We hope to provide a much needed infusion of cash cards to purchase food. Three teachers, who are members of our club, will deliver the cards to students.
