Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Encinitas

Total Budget: $1,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Activity Type: Community Development: Disaster Recovery

Summary: Help the Community Resource Center Battle Food Insecurity in North County San Diego by Making Emergency Food Purchases .

The Rotary Clubs of North County San Diego support the ongoing efforts of the Community Resource Center to provide for the basic needs of those most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. CRC has always been on the front lines - fighting hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in our North County communities. Right now, as they tackle the havoc wrought by the COVID pandemic, their resources are stretched thin. Donations of food and supplies are not adequate to meet the growing needs in our area. The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club and the Encinitas Rotary Club are each donating $250 to the CRC to enable additional purchases from local food banks at a very low cost. We invite all local Rotary Clubs to join us in this effort!
