Summary: To-go meals for supper provided to local youth through the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, CA


The Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos has partnered with Feeding San Diego to distribute meals to 400 children per day, but turning away between 100-150 youth due to reaching the limit of their daily supply. The distribution happens from 2pm-4pm, Monday through Friday and includes a hot entree, vegetable, fruit, milk and a small breakfast item for the next day.

The funds will be used to purchase additional meals @ $5 each to help meet the need to serve the food insecure youth in the community. Club members serve on the board of directors, provide annual volunteer support as well as funds for the Boys & Girls Club. The timeline is from now until the Boys & Girls Club is able to re-open for direct service.
