The grant is to be used to help the World Beat Center on Park Blvd. In Balboa Park. Makeeda Cheaton , manager would use the grant to prepare masks for the homeless or anyone else who needs one for tomorrow. She does prepare a dinner meal for the homeless by food donations that are brought to her. She would like to get a washing station on 16th Street downtown where a lot of the folks live on the sidewalk. The World Beat Center has been in Balboa Park for many years and Makeeda has been honored many times for her contributions to the City.
