Project Description Country: USA Location: Calexico Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: General Summary: COVID 19 - Disinfecting supplies will be provided to Calexico Fire and Police Departments COVID 19 Imperial County Health Department's statistics indicated that Calexico, California has the leading positive COVID 19 cases in Imperial County. It has been brought to the attention of the Calexico Rotary Club that our first responders are using improvised disinfecting supplies due to the local shortage. We are requesting a district grant to assist with the purchase of disinfecting supplies from an outside vendor. Rotarians will distribute supplies to firefighters, police officers and paramedics in Calexico. If supplies are purchased only large amounts, such as gallons of liquid sanitizer, we will bottle the supplies and distribute accordingly. Providing disinfective supplies is one way to lower the spread of the Coronavirus to our first responders and the people they serve.
