Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Gooding, ID

Total Budget: $4,014

Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: Purchase of 4 hearing aids and microphones for students of Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind located in Gooding, Idaho.

We propose to purchase 4 hearing aids and 5 hearing aid microphones to lend out to students. The lending library will allow students to experiment with different hearing aids. The aids will be purchased from one of the two pediatric hearing aid manufacturers.

The loan period will allow parents to obtain funding for permanent hearing aids which can be purchased through the program at Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind.

The timeline for purchase of the aids is October 1, 2020.

Gooding Rotary Club will create and mail a flyer to all the students that may benefit from this program. Our club will also sponsor a program presentation with invitations to our community and our club will visit one of the overnight cottages for deaf students to interact with students that are benefiting from these hearing aids.

I have audited this project and I approve it after revising the Final Report. Invoice #3 was listed as $447.98 but when you review it closely, it is $447.99. With this correction, both the Total Expenses and Total Revenues are equal as required.
