The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito Summer Adventure Camps Program allows campers ages 5-15 to experience a fun-filled, active summer in a safe environment with skilled staff to ensure a rewarding summer camp experience. The Clubs offer flexible and affordable camp options for youth throughout San Diego including full or partial financial assistance for families who need them most.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, modifications are based on state and federal safe-reopening protocols for youth camps.
These modifications required The Club to invest in over $5,000 worth of supplies and facility modifications just to reopen our doors safely.
(This number does not include the increased staffing requirements for needed for regular sanitation, cleaning and youth to staff ratio increases.)
Costs included:
-Supplies for plexi glass partitions at all facilities around our check in/out counters
-Protective coverings for keyboards, mice and technology in our computer labs that can be easily cleaned between use
-Individual Camper supplies (art, craft, sports) to ensure each camper receives their own set up of supplies each week which avoids cross contamination through shared resources.
-Non Contact Thermometers
-CDC approved sanitizer and antibacterial cleaning agents for our facilities, equipment and youth
-Additional supplies for hand washing stations
