Project Description Country: Bermuda Location: Pembrole Total Budget: $11,547 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: To help purchase 15 laptops for foster children enrolled in 2 public high schools. Pembroke Rotary Club has for years helped to compile and deliver approximately 70 backpacks filled with school supplies to the Foster Children charity in Hamilton, Bermuda. This year due to the ongoing pandemic the charity has asked instead for 14 laptops for the older children to help with stay at home learning as well as in school. In addition to our support we have one large benefactor donation of $6,500 to Pembroke Rotary and several Rotarians who will donate individually. The budget has been finalized to $11,546. Due to the need to ship the laptops to the island the timeline may be a little fluid but we would hope to have this done before the end of October 2020. We have finalized the order of the laptops.
