Summary: Food & personal care items for Families & Seniors impacted by the Corona Virus in the Greenburgh area
Many families in the Greenburgh area are out of work, either to lost jobs or illness. Many seniors are home bound due to health and illness or are afraid of the consequences of going out to shop. Hartsdale-Greenburgh Rotary will join with the Theodore Young Community Center, the Community Action Group of the Greenburgh Police Dept and Feeding Westchester to provide food and personal care items. The Rotary club members will help package the food & supplies each week, then deliver them to the families and seniors that have applied for help. We estimate that approx 300 households are helped each week and the list keeps growing. We anticipate that the project will last until Dec. 31, 2020. We would like a grant for $5,000 to help purchase the food & supplies that are needed.
