Project Description Country: USA Location: Ossining Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provide Dictionaries and Thesaauri to Ossining are 3rd and 5th graders.' This project will distribute dictionaries to every 3rd-grade student in English & English/Spanish. The project will also distribute Thesauri to every 5th-grade student in the Ossining School district and a local parochial school. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) The Rotary Club of Ossining (5031) will provide both English and/or Bilingual dictionaries to every 3rd-grade students in the Ossining School District and the Parochial schools. We will also provide Thesauri to every 5th-grade student in the Ossining School District and a Parochial School. This project should be completed by Mid-October 2020. The Cost of the Project will cost approximately $1,500.00 US. We are requesting a $750.00 Grant. The members affix a label into the inside cover of each book where there is a space for the student to write their name. The label has the Rotary International Logo along with Ossining Rotary's information.
