Public Health Flu Vaccine

History Logs

Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Jackson

Total Budget: $3,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Activity Type: Health: Disease

Summary: Provide flu vaccines for uninsured adults working in Teton County WY and administered by Teton County Public Health Department

Teton County WY is insufficiently funded to provide flu shots to uninsured or under insured adults. These funds will be used to purchase additional flu vaccines which primarily are utilized by a segment of population involved in the service industry and lacking sufficient health insurance/resources. This money will be utilized during the fall of 2020 and spring 2021. Due to HIPA regulations our club can not be involved in the selection or distribution of vaccines administered by the Public Health Department. This club has previously funded additional vaccines through our International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race fund raising event. This grant will augment our vaccine purchase to provide more doses of the vaccine. Our current pledge to Teton County Public Health is $2000 to fund 100 flu vaccines. An additional $1000 will add an additional 50 doses of vaccine.
