Summary: Signage for Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo Grounds at Mobridge, SD insuring proper identification of venue
Total renovation of Sitting Bull Stampede at a cost of $23 million started with fund raising money over five years ago. Bleachers, arena ground contoured for runoff of rainwater, new bathrooms, a lean to, chutes and crow's nest with many other minor improvements have been made. City donated new improved lighting to accommodate evening events. The sign is estimated to cost $8,000 and if money is available will be completed and installed before the end of 2020. Rotary members will offer any physical labor needed that they can perform and have committed to a donation $1,500 this year and again next year. Improvement of this venue will lead to more events been held at the site. Currently, it is used for rodeo, youth horse events, demolition derby and musical events are held at the site.
This project is "Signed". This means that the signatures from the club leadership have been collected. This project is now being reviewed by the district leadership for approval. Once a decision is made, the status of the project will be changed to "Approved".

Project was planned to be completed by December 31, 2020 however it was dependent on receiving the grant applied for by Mobridge Rotary so has not been started as of the present time. Plan is to have the signage up by the 4th of July 2021 if funds can be secured.
