Project Description Country: USA Location: Manteno, IL Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: The Early Childhood Education grant will provide books, manipulatives, and hands-on literacy tools to be used in conjunction with U Are U Preschool's online lessons. This is an Early Childhood Education District Grant. U Are U Preschool is providing free virtual learning to all 3-5 year-olds in the area for this semester. The grant will provide books, manipulatives, and hands-on literacy tools to be used in conjunction with our online lessons. These brain-building activities develop math, pre-literacy skills, social/emotional learning, fine and gross motor skills. Rotary Club members will deliver resources to families and serve as "mystery readers" in our online learning community throughout the semester.
