Project Description Country: USA Location: Oak Forest, IL Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provided materials for Acorn Library's Early Childhood Literacy online program. This is an Early Childhood Education District Grant project. Acorn library was looking for funding to buy materials for their Early Childhood Literacy online program. After talking with them our club decided they would receive the $500.00 grant offered by the district. Acorn staff ordered and received the materials (shaker eggs, scarfs, books and bean bags)and then we packed the bags for the kids at the Oak Forest park district building. We later delivered the bags to the Acorn library for distribution to the kids. The Acorn library then used the materials in their online video program.
