Project Description Country: USA Location: Chicago, IL Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: This grant provided 57 books to be used in Moos Elementary preschool and kindergarten classrooms. This is an Early Childhood Education District Grant project. Providing books to disadvantaged early childhood classrooms in northern Chicago. The goal is to complete in October for Halloween or fall "treat" when normal celebrations are not able to happen. Club members would help to label books with Rotary stickers, identify a school or classrooms to partner with, and assist with delivery and distribution. We would also encourage matching donations to increase the impact of the grant project.
