Summary: The beautification of the Little Su Rotary Park in Houston, Alaska.

Last year, Susitna Rotary worked with several entities to complete the Rotary Pavilion in Houston Alaska. Due to COVID delays they were unable to complete the final touches of spreading existing topsoil, hydro seeding and beatification of are with picnic tables/benches to encourage additional day use.

We would like to complete is approximately 100 x 100 feet (10,000 sq ft), We would like to spread the existing top soil that is onsite and hydro-seed , water and maintain for a minimum of 3 weeks to ensure proper root structure. We would need to rent a skid steer for 2 days with average cost of $250 per day. Additionally we would need to purchase approximately 25 gallons of diesel fuel at $.400 per gallon totaling $100.00. Denali Refuse has agreed to donate their Skid Steer with an operator in exchange for sponsor recognitions.

There are numerous options for Hydro-Seeding the area with the average cost for 10,000 square feet $2,000.00.

In addition to the hydro-seed we will need to water twice daily for the first 2 weeks to ensure proper root growth. This will be done by Wasilla Rotary members and Friends. For this we will require 300 feet of hose @ $74.00 each and 2 tripod rotating sprinklers @ $45.00 each for a total of $238.00

The $ touches will be 4 Rotary Blue Heavy Duty Metal Picnic tables and 2 Rotary Blue Out Door Benches at approximately $825.00 per unit for a total of $4,800.00 These will be constructed , placed and secured by Wasilla Rotarians and Friends.
