Project Description Country: USA Location: Sun Lakes AZ Total Budget: $900 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: Peace Tree Planting in Chandler AZ Park or green space To Celebrate Earth Day and promote peace we want to plant a tree or two and hold an event to recognize how important our environment is while promoting Peace and Rotary. This is a repeat of our April 2021 project which was very successful and well attended by our Rotary District Leadership, Sun Lakes Rotary members and our partnership with in the Chandler Unified School District. We also were able to have 25 1st grade students involved to celebrate the day with us. The tree is a living monument to peace and Rotary.
