Project Description Country: USA Location: Western Springs, IL Total Budget: $2,325 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: WESTERN SPRINGS, IL Annual Steak Fry lunch for First Responders and Veterans in the area. This project has been funded for many years. Approximately 250 veterans and 1st responders attend a Steak Fry held in their honor. Also attended by community leaders, state congress leaders and neighboring Rotary clubs. Held every Friday at Noon after Labor Day. We promote, set up, cook, recognize, clean-up and celebrate our soldiers service.
