Project Description Country: USA Location: Fountain Hills, AZ Total Budget: $4,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Approximately 55 - 65 'starter kits' purchased and assembled for homeless families Save the Family is a non-profit organization that provides temporary housing and basic life skills training to approximately 600 - 700 families each year, the majority of which are single women with children. Consequently, there is a continuing need for basic household necessities e.g., sheets, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. Rotarians will purchase these items from discount stores and assemble boxed "starter kits".
