Needs:
Working women who are in an environmental health training provided by the Environmental Health Coalition and Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center six evenings will receive healthy food for their families to allow them time away from the responsibility to feed their families while they are taking their weekly leadership training. The funds will be used to supply healthy food through Kitchenistas who have launched their own catering business in order to support a small, woman-owned business in National City.
Timeline:
June-September EHC will collaborate with Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center to plan the join SALTA training. Training will begin in September 2021, Graduation from program will take place virtually in October, 2021.
EHC serves San Diego, California affected Communities; Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, City Heights and National City.
Use of Funds:
Supply healthy food to support families while working women (mothers) take leadership training and are away from their family responsibilities.
Club Member Involvement:
Attend monthly environmental justice regional action team meetings
