A) The e-club de Noroeste Global in Tijuana has identified 20 local students and will have a RYLA Day on September 18, 2021 to teach leadership skills and ethical behavior. Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary (MBSR) will match available DDF funds. Six MBS Rotarians will go to Tijuana and participate in the RYLA Day.
B) This Tijuana Rotary has also found that a local orphanage caring for 89 residents from 8 months to 16 years of age (Casa De Cuna Troncoso y Barruecos) has a faulty stove and have located a used stove to replace it. They have also planned new piping for gas lines to provide a safe area for the cooking staff. This project is planned for August 1-10, 2021. The e-club will arrange for the purchase of the stove materials and labor to complete this project. MBSR will match available DDF funds to fund this project.
Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
There is an error in the Total Budget that I cannot fix.
The correct total budget is $2,088
PLease note in Item #6 Describe the participation of club members:
For the Tijuana Orphanage Stove Project: Members of the e-club de Noroeste Global will manage the purchase of the necessary items and details of installation. MBSR members are not able to personally participate in this aspect of the project, but the need for a safe kitchen and food preparation is urgent for the orphans we believe necessitates the funding of this important project without our on-site participation. We will visit the orphanage during our trip to Tijuana on Sept. 18th.
