Project Description Country: USA Location: Valentine Total Budget: $625 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Health: Volunteer Services Summary: Supplies such as personal hygiene products, food, comfort toys, coloring books, journals, etc., provided for victims of rape & domestic abuse in Valentine, NE, USA The local Rape & Domestic Abuse Program (RDAP) is experiencing an increase in the number of victims seeking assistance to get out of abusive situations. The grant project funds will be used to purchase personal hygiene products, food, comfort toys, coloring books, journals, and other needed items identified by the RDAP coordinator and will be given to the victims to assist them during the transition from abusive circumstances. Rotary club members will purchase the products and deliver them to the RDAP office before the December 31, 2021. Club members will also help raise awareness of the issue of rape & domestic abuse in our community and additional support needed for RDAP.
