Project Description Country: USA Location: New Lenox IL Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: To award scholarships to students in the Lincoln Way School system. The Club will work with school counselors to determine student eligibility for a scholarship. In the past, the Club has issued scholarships in the amount of $500 to students furthering their education beyond high school. The need exists for financial assistance for the students as they align resources to help pay for their continued education. The Club is hoping that we will be able to invite the students, their counselors and parents to celebrate the awardees at one of our regular meetings. A long time Rotarian Dennis Wesel passed this past year so the Club and his family will be awarding one of the scholarships in his name.
