Project Description Country: USA Location: Santee Total Budget: $500 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: ECTLC - Supporting East County Homeless Homelessness is a chronic problem in San Diego County. A lack of affordable housing, addiction, and mental illness each play a substantial role in causing individuals and families to become homeless. The East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC) provides transitional housing, emergency housing, job skills development, opportunities to earn a GED, case management and linkage to other resources which provide a hand up to individuals and families, enabling them to secure permanent housing and become productive members of our community. We will donate money to ECTLC to purchase the items that are most needed for those they serve, including toiletries and food. Club members will help raise money and donate supplies.
