Project Description Country: USA Location: Aurora,IL Total Budget: $410 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services Summary: Bee cultivation to meet the pollination needs of the community. Bee Pollination: The Club will work with the Fox Valley Park District to purchase bees and wooden hives to cultivate bees for pollination and honey purposes at the Barnes Road Community Garden facility. Bees and pollination have been adversely impacted in recent years, putting the environment and agriculture at risk. This project will help provide sustainable local bee pollination. We want to have a project that we can identify as meeting a Rotary mission.
