Last year our when club made a large donation to the San Diego Food Bank the CEO, Jim Flores, said one thing their service could critically use is peanut butter. Apparently peanut butter is too expensive for the Food Bank to purchase in the smaller jars that their distribution requires.
One of our members researched the Food Bank's recommended purchasing sources and found a domestic farm whose price was competitive. We have collected personal donations from our members to complete the budget and are using $750 District Grant DDF to supplement the project.
This campaign has been the collective effort of our club's International and Community Avenues of Service, as well as personal focused member contributions of both time and money.
