Project Description Country: USA Location: Lemont Total Budget: $1,300 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Community Needs Assessment Summary: 8 planter boxes to replace existing planter boxes for the Lemont Garden Club in their community garden The Planter boxes in the community garden are severely weathered and decaying. The Garden Club estimates that they will need to replace all ten of their planter boxes as well as buy five additional more to help the residents with gardening activities. These planter boxes will be made of metal and are estimated to cost between $150 and $175 each. Our club will raise $650 and use the matching funds to purchase the boxes. Members of our club will volunteer to help assemble the boxes and place them in the appropriate spaces within the garden. Several of our members are active in assisting the garden club with their activities.
