Project Description Country: USA Location: Montgomery, IL Total Budget: $2,000 Areas of Focus: Community economic development, The environment Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Provide a park bench in the new Arbor Day Park & Garden in front of Village Hall On April 30, 2022 the Montgomery Beautification Committee dedicated the 2022 tree, the White Fringe, at the future site of the Arbor Day Park & Garden in front of the Montgomery Police Department. The Village Beautification Committee has dedicated itself to enhancing the beauty of the Village, which includes long - term goals of developing a natural park and garden and compliment the historical significance of the remaining farm silo on the property . The Arbor Day Garden & Park will be located near the silo, in front of the Montgomery Police Department. This project would provide for the installation of a Park Bench within the Park/Garden, supporting the efforts of the Village Beautification Committee. The Bench would have an engraved plate recognizing the Club The target completion date for the project will be no later than May 31, 2023. We expect to have 2 to 3 Rotarians and 2 to 3 Non-Rotarians in the planning stages of this project and 10-15 Rotarians and 5 to 10 non-Rotarians participate dedication of the bench as it is installed.
