Project Description Country: Philippines Location: Quiapo Manila Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Health: General Summary: provide medical assistance to elderly recovering from Covid and wheelchairs for the those who are aging rapidly. Hospicio is a social welfare charity organization serving the abandoned elderly and children. This request is for the elderly who are in need of wheelchairs and we would like to provide 3. Covid has caught the facility off guard, having to divert their funds to residents, both elderly and children including some staff, to the cure of the sick. The intent, besides providing the elderly with wheelchairs is to also provide medical needs. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) This request is being changed to Donation of 2 units Oxygen Concentrators with assistance of our sister club, RC of San Rafael, District 3770 in The Philippines. The Oxygen equipment will provide the necessary oxygen needs to lying in and birthing areas in Poblacion, San Rafael Bulacan. The oxygen equipment will ensure continuous supply of oxygen to some 270 patients in need during the birthing process and in emergencies. The clinic services the community with an approximate population of 320,000.
