Project Description Country: USA Location: Bedford, Texas Total Budget: $2,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Scholarships for special needs youth and young adults to help indigent families with day care and educational training in the HEB area of North Texas. We have about five of six of our members whose families are not able to afford their care. We are a non-profit corporation and to meet our expenses we charge $500 a month. Some agencies help us but not enough to cover the cost. We will assist with scholarships as long as the grant funds last. Club members assist in many ways when help is needed with volunteering at special events, doing maintenance and repairs and moving into our new facility.
