Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Rivertowns Rotary

Total Budget: $4,000

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Rivertowns Rotary will be suppling teachers in the Greenburgh-Graham Union Free School District with supplies they would normally have to pay for.

We will be working with the School Superintendent to identify needs of teachers in the Elementary, Middle and High Schools and have the teachers order specific items - up to $200 for 20 teachers or $100 for 40 teachers. Our members will take consolidated lists to multiple stores (big box etc) requesting discounts or donated items, allowing us to obtain the requested items. In addition, we will approach our club membership to raise funds to complete the purchase of the requested items. The items will presented to teachers in each of the school auditoriums (elementary, middle, high).
