Project Description Country: USA Location: Pleasantvile Total Budget: $2,400 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Daily meals to elderly destitute shut in members of the community Two members of our community, one of whom is a Vietnam Veteran, cannot afford the daily stipend for meal deliveries from the senior center which provides them to persons unable to travel to the senior center on Clinton Street in Pleasantville, NY. This grant would pay for these meals. The cost is $5 per day.That is $200 per person or $400 a month. We would ask for $1200 so we could feed these people for 6 months. Together with our club's contribution of $1200, the total award of $2400 would provide these two seniors with healthy meals for one full year.
